Forklift Driver

Description:

Our client is looking for a Forklift Driver to work at a location in Portsmouth

Key Responsibilities for the position include:
Loading and unloading trailers safely and efficiently Checking pallets to ensure dimensions and weights have been declared correctly Identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods Moving and handling freight in line with company procedures Carrying out heavy lifting while following manual handling and health & safety guidelines Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe at all times Supporting colleagues to ensure daily operational targets are achieved

Key Skills & Experience required for the position include:
Previous warehouse experience is essential Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong attention to detail A positive, flexible and proactive attitude Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment Commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards Counterbalance Forklift Licence (Must have a valid certificate for that is in date - not in house) Awareness of warehouse health and safety procedures is advantageous
