Description:
Our client is looking for a Operations Assistant to work at a location in Havant Key Responsibilities for the position include: · Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures. · Assist in managing stock levels, including processing stock adjustments, conducting monthly stock takes and reconciling any discrepancies. · Working with the Operations Manager to maintain stock levels at Amazon. · Handle the processing of purchase invoices and payments. · Provide administrative support to the purchasing department as needed including data entry and file management. · Actively seek opportunities to improve purchasing processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness. · Build and maintain the strong relationships we have with our suppliers, continuously improving terms and pricing agreements. · Develop and maintain a preferred packaging supplier list to ensure the best suppliers are being utilised. · Conduct price checks on products to ensure competitiveness and value for money. · Assist in sourcing new suppliers and evaluating their capabilities and offerings. · Work closely with suppliers managing the delivery process making sure orders are delivered in full and on time. · Coordinate the supplier delivery process, liaising with the Warehouse Team to verify deliveries against purchase orders and book goods into our stock management system. · Work with the Warehouse Team to maintain accurate product locations implementing changes as necessary to enhance operational efficiency. · Coordinate the purchasing and distribution of pharmaceuticals to customers, maintaining accurate records and ensuring proper handling and storage. · Liaise with Sporting bodies to fulfil their stock requirements and ensure timely delivery to various locations. Key Skills & Experience required for the position include: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with expert Excel skills. · Proven experience in a similar role. · Experience in stock management. · Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. · Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. · Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with suppliers, customers and colleagues. · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team
