Full Stack Developer

Our client is a product and engineering company behind a new specialist CRM and workforce-operations platform being built for recruitment, payroll, labour-supply, and compliance-led businesses in the UK and US.

Our client is looking to build a team in India which will be the dedicated engineering home for this system responsible for building the platform’s technical architecture, full-stack features, workflow systems, integrations, reporting, and scalable product foundations.

The position:

You will build our next-generation, white-label workforce, payroll and compliance platform for the UK market. It replaces a legacy system that processes real payrolls, real HMRC filings and real money every week, so correctness matters as much as speed. This is a hands-on build role, not a maintenance role. You will own features end to end: schema, API, UI, tests, deployment.

What you will work on

Multi-tenant, instance-per-brand architecture for a white-label product

Payroll, timesheet and invoicing engines with money-accurate calculations

UK compliance workflows CIS, VAT, PAYE, HMRC filings

Integrations: accounting systems, e-mail/SMS providers, government gateways

Admin tooling and reporting used daily by finance and operations teams

Key Skills & Experience required for the position include:
• 3+ years shipping production web applications with TypeScript/Node and a modern React framework

• Strong relational data modelling and SQL — you can reason about schemas, migrations and query performance

• You already use LLM coding agents daily (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar) and can show how they make you faster without letting quality slip. This is a hard requirement, not a bonus

• Comfortable with agile delivery: short cycles, daily stand-ups, visible progress, frequent code review

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment — small team, direct ownership, decisions made quickly

• Care about correctness: you write tests, you check edge cases, you think about what happens with real money

• Clear written and spoken English; you will work directly with UK stakeholders

Nice to have

• Payroll, fintech, accounting or regulated-domain experience

• Multi-tenant SaaS or white-label products

• DevOps exposure — deployments, monitoring, incident debugging

Additional Details for the position:
Ways of working

• Shift: UK business hours (approx. 12:30 pm – 09:30 pm IST, shifting with GMT/BST). Overlap with the UK team is essential

• Location: Hybrid/work from home, and you must be able to come into our Gurugram office when asked — for planning, reviews, onboarding or key delivery milestones

• Agile: two-week cycles, stand-ups, demos, code review on every change Engagement terms

• Full-time contractor engagement with The Tech Dojo India

• Exclusive: you will work solely for The Tech Dojo India for the duration of the engagement. No other clients, employment, freelancing or parallel projects

• Path to permanent: the contract can be converted to a full-time permanent role once the company is satisfied you are performing at the standard we expect. Conversion is at the company’s discretion and is based on demonstrated delivery, ownership and fit

• Contract rates are dependant on experience - Rates from $7-11.00 per hour

• Permanent salaries will be around $16-25,000 USD
