Transport Planner

Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to work at a location in Portsmouth

Key Responsibilities for the position include:
RESPONSIBILITIES 1. To plan all the jobs in line with SLA’s to maximise business efficiency and margin 2. To work with your allocated drivers ensuring that they have the best jobs allocated to them given their location and preferences 3. To fully support the planning team such that all drivers have appropriate plans in place in advance. 4. The day to day management of the drivers and the job planning process ensuring that; a. Customer collections and deliveries are completed on time b. Clients are communicated with inline with best practise and SLA’s c. Vehicle route planning is the most efficient possible with downtime, additional mileage and cost minimised. d. Drivers are fully supported both by allocating jobs in advance and responding quickly and sympathetically to any issues. 5. To provide the agreed additional out of normal office hours cover that is required to support the drivers and ensure efficient planning

Key Skills & Experience required for the position include:
