About The Role
Hours for this role are 24 hours per week and will involve some weekend work, either one day at the weekend or two weekends a month.
Hours of work will be 10am 4pm 4 Days a week.
As an Activities Co-ordinator at the care home - Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia care home. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. And, by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
You will be responsible for organising and creating a varied activities programme, from organised hobbies to group events, all of which will promote independence, choice and dignity for our residents
As an Activities Coordinator you will work flexibility in order to meet the requirements of our residents. You must be experienced, lively, enthusiastic, and demonstrate a passion for working with the elderly.
You will be responsible for creating, developing and delivering social and recreational activities on a group and individual basis. You will report to the Registered Manager. You will be working in a care home for clients with dementia so you will need to be tolerant and adaptable at all times.
You will to get to know our residents, their interests and life stories, so you can deliver events that truly enrich their lives and ensure they feel connected with their community
Whilst motivating colleagues to support events in the home, you will also be responsible for actively promoting activities in the community and encourage family and friends to become involved.
You will keep up-to-date with the necessary paperwork and keep an eye on budgets.

About You

We're ideally looking for someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals - Beyond that, it's all about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You'll have great planning, organisational skills, be able to manage your time effectively.
Whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind.
