Field Sales Manager

£25,000 - £30,000 plus commission & car allowance

My client is currently looking for an exceptional Field Sales Manager who is extremely motivated and driven with a passion for business development to join their growing field-based team in Manchester covering in the North west region of the UK.

It’s essential that you have a proven background in business development, defining long-term strategic goals, building and winning new business and closing the deal.

Key Responsibilities:
•Working with the internal sales team to generate new business sales
•Generate own appointments, building and managing own pipeline to ensure consistent delivery of sales
•Cold calling as appropriate within geographic area to ensure a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
•Manage potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network, through visits, demonstrations, email correspondence and telephone contact.
•Research and identify potential clients, the decision makers and build relationships with new clients.
•Set up meetings for client decision makers and key influencers.
•Plan approaches and pitches, working to develop demonstrations and proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
•Participate in offering the client solution-based offering.
•Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
•Pro-actively use data supplied by Sales Manager (external data, marketing leads etc) in accordance with ongoing sales campaigns.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate:
•Experience in a business to business field sales role
•Previous experience as a Business Development Manager
•Self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
•Possess excellent IT skills with a passion for technology
•Must demonstrate selling and closing skills and have proven success in developing new accounts.
•Be committed to working flexible hours when needed as there will be some evening appointments and tradeshows at weekends.
•Team player within the sales team and the wider business.
•Confident executive-level presentation skills.
•Extremely organised with good time management skills.
•Strong business acumen and ability to forge client relationships.
•Full driving licence is essential.
