Business Development Executive
£25000 PA (30k OTE)

To support their growth in the long term my client is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive within their agency based in Portsmouth.
Working closely with the marketing and sales team, the successful candidate will have the ability to make a significant difference to their business in engaging with their audience, building relationships and generating qualified sales opportunities for the team to convert to sales!

• Maximising the conversion of all marketing-ready enquiries and leads through to booking sales-qualified appointments for the sales team
• Hunting and securing your own generated sales-qualified appointments for the sales team
• Playing an active role in social selling, engaging with their audience across all social media channels to build relationships, demonstrate your (and their) expertise in the exciting B2B marketing and lead generation arena
• Continuously managing and reviewing pipeline, ensuring all new business opportunities are handled effectively to conversion through to sales-qualified appointment
• Effectively reporting and providing visibility of progress and performance
• Continuously delivering against targets and KPI’s
• Developing solid relationships with key internal stakeholders including marketing, sales and client services
• A track record within B2B lead generation and/or B2B sales
• Ability to engage knowledgably and confidently with senior C and D-level decision makers across a range of industries
• Excellent questioning, qualification and closing skills
• The confidence and tenacity to pursue leads, overcome obstacles and secure appointments
• Brilliant objection handling techniques and ability to operate at all levels in an organisation
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
• A self-starter, who thrives under pressure to achieve challenging goals
• Strong communication skills, notably being able to explain value propositions to identified key decision-makers
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and experience in key social media channels, including LinkedIn and Twitter
• Knowledge of MS-Office tools, principally Outlook, Powerpoint, Word and Excel
