We are looking for highly skilled technicians, who take great pride in their work and can deliver our customer vehicles to the highest possible standard. Our technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnostics and subsequent repair/replacement of mechanical and electrical components.

Tasks include but are not limited to:-

1. Inspection
Ensure all mechanical and electrical components are in good working order and not becoming worn or faulty. Check the status of moving parts and pertinent parts of the vehicle such as tyres and transmission to ensure the vehicle is running at its utmost capability. Remove all road wheels to perform thorough brake inspection. Carry out road test on the pre-determined road test route. Complete necessary paperwork confirming the vehicles inspection and highlight any work needed to be carried out on the vehicle.

2. Fault Diagnostics
Utilising the relevant diagnostic equipment trace any stored faults within the vehicles engine management system. If appropriate, test drive the vehicle presenting the fault. Pinpoint the problem and determine which parts are needed to repair the vehicle.

3. Repairs

Make necessary repair/replacement to any faulty or worn vehicle components this includes brakes, clutches, engines, transmission, electrical wiring and cooling systems along with internal components such as seat belts, handbrakes etc.

4. Body Work Inspection

Carry out thorough panel by panel bodywork inspection documenting details of any imperfections and advising an appropriate solution. The controller will then use the information provided to decide the best course of action.

Experience/skills required:-
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Previous experience essential
• Must be able to work well under own initiative
• Full UK Driving Licence
A comprehensive training programme will be provided.

Salary £25,000 - £35,000 PA
